Brittany // Pt. 1

Oh, Miss Brittany. This young lady is full of energy, passion, spunk, and joy. I am so blessed to know her and be able to see her continually grow in her gifts! She is such a beautiful soul.

Five Facts about Brittany:

• She is crazy good at nail-painting
• She's a very talented dancer
• Born and raised in California
• God has gifted her in singing and worship-leading
• She has a very blunt sense of humor (which I find hilarious) and will tell you like it is ;)

Color // Seafoam Green

I must confess, I am addicted to seafoam green right now. Although I tend to be a little blasé with my wardrobe colors (gray, black, tan, white, neutrals), this bold pop has done wonders for me. Now my closet mainly consists of this color, and of course, black, gray, tan, etc. ;) I may or may not have bought several clothing items in this color recently...but what can I say, this shade is subtle, but SO fun. I'm hoping to do a photo series soon incorporating this color! Stay tuned... :)

Maya // Senior

Something I really cherish about photography is getting to know different sides of people from behind the lens.

I didn't know Maya previously to her shoot, but I learned a few things about her while taking her pictures...she has a natural ease about her; it shows in her demeanor and expression, she's not shy, and she has a contagious spirit to her. Her smile could brighten up any room! She's definitely a spunky, unique, and (obviously) gorgeous girl. As soon as we started shooting, Maya stepped into her inner "model," which made things VERY fun for me. :)

Shout Out to Moms! Thank You!

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there.

Thank you for your kindness, patience, dedication, willingness, selflessness, and love. Thank you for pouring so much into your families. Thank you for being heroes; you don't look for credit or praise, but you serve, protect, and care for your families anyways. You truly deserve to to be honored today! Hope you all are blessed today for your endless work!

I'm especially thankful for MY mom. :) I greatly look up to her generosity, passion, enthusiasm, boldness, kindness, and diligence. She is one-of-a-kind and I'm so thankful that she's my mom!! Thanks for raising 5 unique, Christ-centered children and for being an example of what ministry looks like in every day life.

I value everything I've learned from my own mom and all the others in my life. Thank you for encouraging, teaching, caring, counseling, and supporting me throughout my life! You are leaving legacies in your own children's lives and in the lives of others. I so look forward to the day when I'm a mom and can pass on so many of the truths you've instilled in me!

Not to mention, it was just my mom's birthday, my dad's birthday, AND their anniversary within the past couple weeks. They celebrated 27 years together! Thank you for displaying God's love and grace to one another on a daily basis and for being examples of what a Christ-centered marriage looks like. You guys are the best!

That's a lot of love for one post, I know. :)

Jennie // Senior

Well, here it is...the blog I've been putting off for forever and a day. Glad that I'm finally getting around to it! Blogging is where it's at! ;)

Without further ado, I'd like for you all to meet Jennie. She's a tall, tan, and talented senior in high school. She deserves credit here; it was absolutely freezing the morning we shot these! She was quite the trooper though, smiling the whole way through! (We looked pretty hilarious walking around--Jennie in shorts, me bundled up tundra-style.)

I've known this young lady (practically) my whole life. We're not technically related, but we consider each other to be "cousins." I was so happy with the way her senior photos turned out; her personality completely shines through in these pictures. It was a blessing getting to shoot her senior session and spend time with her beautiful self!
